Intern Expectations

• Work 24-29.9 hours a week during the session.
• Learns about other areas within Excel through lunch and learns.

Important Dates

• Fall Program runs from Monday, September 14th, 2026 through Thursday, December 10th, 2026.

Office Hours

• 9:00 am - 6:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday OR as agreed upon with advisor.

Internship Requirements

• Available to work under 30 hours per week.
• Available to report to the New York Office approximately 3-days a week.
• Senior standing in college (must have completed junior year of undergrad), enrolled in a graduate school, or have a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree.

Interview Process

• Applications will close on August 14th, 2026.
• The program will begin on September 14th, 2026.

Graphic Design (Social Media) Intern Job Description

• Affords assistance to the Social Media team in designing graphics for Excel social channels.
• Affords assistance in versioning out template-based content.
• Affords assistance in developing creative concepts for social media initiatives.

• Proficiency and experience in Adobe Photoshop are required.
• Must provide creative portfolio.
• Must demonstrate high attention to detail and consistency.
• Learns the importance of C.A.R.E. (consistency, authenticity, relevance and engagement).
• Develops skills needed to design content specifically for social media.
• Maintains brand consistency across social channels.
• Has access to the Excel team for industry advice and learnings.
• May occasionally be assigned projects outside the Social Media/Communications group to gain exposure to other divisions within Excel.

Pay

• $17.00 per hour.
