About the Role

Assisting in the delivery of mental health services such as individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, substance abuse treatment, and more, depending on the internship placement. As an intern, you will gain first-hand experience with targeted clinical interventions based on the client's specific needs, assessments, treatment plans, and case documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver mental health services under supervision, including individual, family, and group therapy
  • Participate in substance abuse treatment and other clinical interventions
  • Assist with client assessments and treatment planning
  • Complete case documentation
  • Integrate into a vibrantly inclusive and passionate team

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related degree program
  • Good academic standing with an accredited academic institution
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Maturity, self-motivation, and comfort working with families with diverse needs
  • Established contract with academic institution
  • Minimum 100-hour commitment unless stated otherwise in contract
  • Attendance at a mandatory orientation and training session
  • Business casual or clinical attire
  • Satisfactory completion of goals as outlined by university affiliates and assigned site supervisor

Qualifications

  • Current students enrolled in a relevant degree program (Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, etc.)
