About the role

The Co-op Program at Kokosing is designed to provide students with practical construction industry experience, the chance to work on value-added projects, connect with a mentor in their field of study, network with senior leaders, team members, and other co-ops, and so much more.

Responsibilities

• Work with Full Time construction professionals to gain guidance and expertise on various tasks.
• Experience firsthand through specific project responsibilities and daily activities.
• Contribute directly to the completion of a quality project.
• Learn about areas of interest under the supervision of supervisors and project staff.
• Present on the culmination of learning and experiences during the term at the Co-op Capstone Event.
• Meet senior level management and participate in fun, interactive activities showcasing various aspects of the construction and engineering industry.

Requirements

• Students interested in a co-op experience for the Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters.
• Reflect Kokosing's core values and culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Enrolled in a related field of study (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying, etc.).
• Strong academic performance.
• Passion for the construction industry.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
