About the role
The Co-op Program at Kokosing is designed to provide students with practical construction industry experience, the chance to work on value-added projects, connect with a mentor in their field of study, network with senior leaders, team members, and other co-ops, and so much more.
Responsibilities
- Work with Full Time construction professionals to gain guidance and expertise on various tasks.
- Be assigned specific project responsibilities and daily activities to experience the industry firsthand.
- Contribute directly to the completion of a quality project.
- Receive structured work efforts to learn about areas of interest and contribute to project completion.
- Be assigned a mentor for any questions or support needed during the co-op.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university.
- Interest in a co-op experience for the Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters.
- Able to commit to the duration of the co-op program.
- Reflects Kokosing's core values and culture of safety.
Qualifications
- Strong academic performance.
- Desire to learn and grow in the construction industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction practices and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
