Fall 2026 Adjunct for Environmental Studies
About the role
The College of New Jersey's Environmental Studies program is seeking a dynamic adjunct instructor to teach one section of ENV 200: Introduction to Environmental Studies in Fall 2026 (August 22 to December 12, 2026).
Responsibilities
- Teach one section of ENV 200: Introduction to Environmental Studies
- Provide an introductory level of familiarity with a range of disciplines, including ecology, environmental science, policy, economics, ethics, and social justice.
- Develop, compare, and integrate key concepts and methods from multiple disciplinary perspectives.
- Apply concepts and methods to specific environmental issues and topics, including an applied, community-engaged learning project.
- Teach Mondays and Thursdays, 3:30pm-4:50pm, in person on TCNJ campus in Ewing, NJ with a maximum enrollment of 34 students.
Requirements
- A M.A. degree in Environmental Studies and prior college-level teaching experience with introductory courses in Environmental Studies/Science OR a specialization in Environmental Studies/Science and experience teaching college students.
- Ph.D. or ABD preferred.

Pay
Adjunct Rate per Faculty Weighted Hours (FWH) - $7,635.00
