Faith Community Nursing Coordinator

Role Details

Status: Full Time (Exempt)

Location: Tampa, FL

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Weekend Work: Occasional

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a liaison between the healthcare system, faith communities, and the broader community
• Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of FCN programs
• Recruit, train, and guide paid and volunteer Faith Community Nurses
• Promote holistic care—addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being
• Assess community health needs and coordinate wellness screenings & education events
• Deliver engaging presentations to nurses, clergy, and community groups
• Maintain program data and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
• Build strong partnerships with congregations and community organizations
• Care for patients in the FCN Transitional Care Program
• Travel between facilities and community events as needed

Role Requirements

• Take on additional responsibilities that support the mission
• Education: Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Certifications: Active RN license + BLS certification
• Experience: At least 3 years of direct patient care
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
• Commitment to growth—complete BLS Instructor Training within 6 months
