Overview
The Faculty Psychologist at Piedmont Midtown Columbus is responsible for teaching psychological and behavioral medicine principles to family medicine residents and faculty.
Behavioral Science Curriculum
- Develops and delivers a Behavioral Science Curriculum that is consistent with the guidelines of the Review Committee for Family Medicine.
- Provides appropriate resident evaluation and feedback.
- Serves as a resource to residents, faculty, and Midtown hospital for behavioral science problems.
- Pursues professional development as a psychologist to maintain excellence in teaching psychological principles to family medicine residents.
Residency Administration
- Works collaboratively with the Family Practice Center (FPC) team and contributes constructively to business and clinical meetings.
- Participates in residency candidate interviewing and selection.
- Participates in committee, community, and professional group activities.
- Participates in consumer education and marketing activities of the FPC.
Clinical Practice
- Provides high-quality psychological evaluation and treatment services to patients of the FPC and Level 2 Trauma Center.
- Maintains adequate and up-to-date records.
- Develops proficiency with the FPC clinical computer system.
Qualifications
- An earned doctorate from an accredited university program.
- Experience: Minimum of one year full time internship required.
