Teaching and Education
- Provision of educational conferences for residents, faculty, students and teams including Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, Noon Conferences, Medical Student Lectures, Clinical Improvement Conferences, Board Review sessions and others as assigned.
- Mentoring of medical students, APP students and residents.
- Provide clinical supervision to students and residents on rotations as assigned.
Clinical
- Provide patient care to patients in various clinical areas as assigned.
Scholarly Work and Research
- Encourage and support residents in scholarly activities including abstract submission, poster presentation, oral presentation and case report publication.
- Establish and maintain an environment of inquiry and scholarship with an active research component.
- This may include collaboration and participation in approved research projects.
Administrative
- Participate in required or assigned committee work including THN, CHMG, Graduate Medical Education, Medical Staff or others.
- Develop, in collaboration with leadership, new rotation or education experiences for students and residents.
Institutional Citizenship
- Work as a part of the larger team to improve access, reduce cost, improve quality and promote efficiency and better health outcomes.
- This may include engagement in community outreach and attending professional events to assist with program development and building professional relationships.
- Attention to timely and complete documentation, patient satisfaction and referring physician satisfaction are needed by each faculty member.
AHEC
- Participate in AHEC projects as requested that meet the mission of the NC AHEC Program.
Education
REQUIRED: MD or DO
PREFERRED
- Experience in teaching or perception medical residents or medical students.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- REQUIRED: Active NC Medical License
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
- Valid Driver's License | If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
