About the role
The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Responsibilities
- Expertise in Transplant Infectious Diseases
- Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases
- Teaching responsibilities: Infectious Diseases fellows, residents, medical students, mentoring of masters level clinical research trainees, and course instruction
- Clinical responsibilities: Inpatient weeks at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and outpatient sessions at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine
- Research responsibilities: Designing and implementing observational and interventional studies focused on infections in the transplant patient population
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
- Board certification or board eligibility in Infectious Diseases
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in Transplant Infectious Diseases
- Excellent teaching abilities
- Proven ability to conduct research in the field of Transplant Infectious Diseases
Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to mentor and train junior faculty and researchers
- Experience in conducting observational and interventional studies
