Faculty Position in Fundamental Mechanisms of Cancer Metastasis
About the role
The Center for Metastasis Research eXcellence (MET-X) at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is launching an open-rank faculty search for a wet laboratory and/or computational scientist to lead a research program focused on uncovering fundamental mechanisms of cancer metastasis using cutting-edge experimental and computational approaches.

Requirements
- PhD, MD/PhD, or MD scientist at all faculty rank levels (Assistant, Associate, or Full)
- Primary activities performed on-site at Fred Hutch
- Expertise in applying and integrating high resolution, multi-dimensional approaches to study cancer metastasis and/or related processes
Qualifications
- Track record of global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy, and COVID-19 vaccines
- Experience in adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases
- Dynamic research environment that encourages taking bold risks and fostering collaboration
- Robust physical and intellectual infrastructure for scientific success

Pay
- Annual base salary range for researchers in this position without a clinical practice: $188,279 - $210,563 for Assistant Professor, $210,413 - $245,241 for Associate Professor, $239,714 - $370,511 for Full Professor
- Annual base salary range for MD physician-scientists with an active practice: $221,470 - $501,368 for Assistant Professor, $269,822 - $560,043 for Associate Professor, $326,902 - $656,515 for Full Professor
Schedule
- Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch
