Faculty Position - Graduate Clinical Psychology
About the role
Vanguard University seeks a full-time faculty member for an Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Clinical Psychology position. This individual will teach various clinical modalities and treatment populations to graduate students in Clinical Psychology programs leading to licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy and/or Professional Clinical Counseling.
Responsibilities
- Teach core theoretical and clinical courses in the MS in Clinical Psychology program.
- Advising and mentoring graduate students in their academic, clinical, and professional development.
- Participate in activities and committees in the graduate program and the university.
- Collaborate with the graduate faculty regarding curriculum implementation, student retention and support, and continuous program improvement.
- Engage in general faculty roles including advising and committee service.
- Contribute to department and university decision-making and governance.
- Mentor students through academic advising, responding to questions appropriate to student/faculty interaction, and meeting with students as needed or requested.
Requirements
A doctorate or master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field. Other doctorates will be considered. Licensed therapist. Successful graduate level teaching experience. Online teaching experience and post-licensure clinical experience preferred. Committed to fostering an inclusive environment and integrating Christianity with psychology. Teamwork, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Psychology or closely related degree.
- Licensed therapist.
- Successful graduate level teaching experience.
- Online teaching experience and post-licensure clinical experience (preferred).
- Committed to continually working to improve culturally diverse perspectives and foster an inclusive environment.
- A Christian faith and commitment to an integration of faith and learning.
- Display a competence in integrating Christianity with psychology.
SkillsTeamwork, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Benefits
The position is full-time. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Assistant Professor: $60,595 to $81,501; Associate Professor: $70,676 to $95,190; Professor: $82,031 to $113,974. Placement at appropriate rank (e.g., Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and initial salary is dependent upon education, experience, and based on Vanguard's faculty compensation schedule. Vanguard University offers a very competitive and generous benefits package.
