Faculty Position - Doctor of Physical Therapy Program , Ruskin, FL

Position Summary

Gannon University, a Catholic university, seeks a full-time, 12-month faculty member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program located at the Ruskin, Florida campus. This position is available to start July 1, 2026. The rank will be determined according to university standards at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively and inter-professionally to deliver a professional education, advise students, participate in scholarly engagement, and provide interactive teaching and learning styles.
• Engage in University, professional, and community service.
• Teach within the systems-based, service-focused curriculum of the 9-semester DPT program.

Required Qualifications

• Post-professional doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DHS, DSc, etc.) or ABD with content expertise assigned to teaching load.
• Greater than three years of clinical experience and three years of clinical teaching as a clinical instructor and/or site coordinator of clinical education.
• Eligible for Florida state licensure as a physical therapist.

Preferred Qualifications

• ABPTS specialty certification.
• Expertise in musculoskeletal physical therapy and exercise physiology.
• Prior teaching experience in an entry-level PT program.
• Research experience.
