Faculty Position, Department of Psychology and Biobehavioral Sciences
About the role
The Department of Psychology and Biobehavioural Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking research psychologists and scientists. Positions can be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full faculty level, with options for Clinician-Scientist track (up to 80% protected research time) or Research track (95% protected research time).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical-research programs addressing diverse groups of childhood catastrophic illnesses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical and research teams to advance cures and means of prevention through research discovery and knowledge generation.
- Engage in clinical practice, training, and education at various levels, including post-doctoral fellowships, pre-doctoral internships, and graduate student programs.
- Utilize and contribute to the department’s extensive clinical-research and data science resources, including a biorepository, clinical biomarkers lab, biostatistics, applied bioinformatics, proteomics, metabolomics, and various imaging resources.
Requirements
- A doctoral degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Clinical work requires completion of an APA-approved program, APA- or CPA-approved doctoral internship, a post-doctoral fellowship in applied psychology, and eligibility for licensure as a psychologist with Health Service Provider designation in the State of Tennessee.
