Faculty Position - Department of Pathology, Hematopathologist, Clinical Track
About the role
The Department of Pathology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Hematopathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Member level. The position is on the Clinical track, with 80% effort devoted to clinical service and administrative efforts, and the remaining 20% effort will be focused on translational research and career development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic hematopathology services
- Conduct translational research
- Participate in assay development
- Engage in informatics or molecular pathology subspecialty training
- Focus on high-complexity flow cytometry
Requirements
- MD degree or combined MD/PhD degree
- Board-certified in AP or AP/CP
- Board-certified or eligible for board certification in Hematopathology
- Fellowship training in Pathology Informatics or Molecular Pathology encouraged
Qualifications
- Experience in diagnostic hematopathology and flow cytometry
- Interest in high-complexity flow cytometry
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory practices
- Experience with informatics or molecular pathology
