Faculty Position, Ambulatory Practices - Academic Clinician, Senior Ranks

About the role

The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include precepting residents and interns throughout their General Medicine rotations.
• Participate in UME or GME educational programs.
• 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching responsibilities.
• May include sessions providing direct patient care in one of our ambulatory sites, such as Edward S. Cooper, Penn Internal Medicine University City, Penn Center for Primary Care, Pennsylvania Hospital Wood Clinic.
• May include serving as inpatient attending at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center or Pennsylvania Hospital.
• May include providing after hours phone coverage.
• Prior experience as faculty at other academic institutions in general medical practice at the Associate or Full Professor rank is required.

Requirements

• Must have an M.D. degree.
• Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine is required.
• Prior experience as faculty at other academic institutions in general medical practice at the Associate or Full Professor rank is required.
• Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching with institutional awards, completion of a graduate program or professional certificate program, or significant institutional, regional or national leadership roles.
