About the role

The Iowa Primary Care Association is seeking a full-time Faculty Physician - Internal Medicine to join their vibrant community health center in Des Moines, IA. MD and DO candidates in Family or Internal Medicine are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work/Life Balance: Flexible schedule within clinic hours of 8:00a-5:00p with rotating call schedule & no weekends
• Full-Time Role: 40 hours/week seeing on average 17-20 patients per day
• Financial Support: Eligible for student loan repayment through state & federal programs
• Competitive Salary: $236,500-354,800 depending upon experience

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency program
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Iowa
• Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred
• Experience in rural healthcare or community health center setting preferred

Skills

Faculty Physicians work collaboratively with the Medical Education Department in establishing rotation objectives. Is responsible for providing patient care services to the Primary Health Care Inc (PHC) patient population in assigned clinic sites. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide, delegate, evaluate, and coordinate comprehensive professional care for patients of all cultures and backgrounds. Meets ever changing healthcare challenges while engaging patients in holistic care. Utilizes established workflows to ensure patient and staff satisfaction and organizational financial success. Demonstrates iCare values in daily work.
