Faculty - Pediatric Genetics

About the role

Clinical faculty member in Pediatric Genetics, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Staff general genetic and metabolic clinics in Charlottesville and satellite clinics in Winchester, Lynchburg, and Bristol.
• Provide inpatient consultation services.
• Respond promptly to newborn screening triage cases.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including genetic counselors, dieticians, and administrative staff.
• Contribute to clinical care and potentially engage in research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with eligibility for faculty appointment.
• Board certification or eligibility in clinical genetics, with preference for biochemical genetics certification.
• Research interest is desirable but not required.
