About the role

The Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University invites individuals to apply for a faculty position in the David Farber ASPIRE Center. This will be a faculty appointment within the medical school at the Associate or Full Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to suicide prevention research and education
• Utilize the clinic for research inquiry
• Build an independent and sustainable research trajectory in suicide prevention
• Help the David Farber ASPIRE Center grow into a premier suicide prevention program in the region

Requirements

• Strong academic background in Psychology, Neuroscience, Public Health, or a related field
• Ability and desire to be a foundational research team member of the center
• Interest in building a research program targeting the unique qualities and specialized areas of the David Farber ASPIRE Center
• Candidates from underrepresented backgrounds and those advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice through their teaching and service are strongly encouraged to apply

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in relevant field
• Research experience in suicide prevention
• Experience in clinical settings
