Faculty - Engineering Technology (Adjunct)

Temporary adjunct faculty position for Engineering Technology instruction on a semester-contract basis.

About the Role

A part-time (adjunct) faculty member provides direct instruction in classroom, lab, clinical, or distance-education settings. Each contract ends at the term’s conclusion; renewal is at the College’s discretion. Adjunct faculty report to the Program/Division Chair and are supervised by the Academic Dean.

Responsibilities

• Successfully prepare, manage, and deliver course content to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.
• Actively engage students and provide prompt, objective, respectful, and effective feedback.
• Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with College directions and administrative guidance.
• Collaborate with College support services to identify and address students’ academic support needs.
• Utilize College technology—including the learning management system, email, document management, student information system, and employee portals—for instruction and operational processes.
• Meet deadlines for accurate class records, employee requests, and other assigned tasks.
• Ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and that equipment is in safe operating order (when applicable).
• Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience.

Pay

Hourly rate starting at $34.15.
