Faculty - Cosmetology (Adjunct - Evening Nail Instructor)

Temporary, part-time (adjunct) faculty position to teach evening manicure classes on a semester contract basis. Contracts are term-specific and do not guarantee future employment.

About the role

A part-time faculty member provides direct instruction in a lab setting under the management of the Program/Division Chair and supervision of the Academic Dean. The primary responsibility is delivering quality instruction to students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and deliver course content to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.
• Actively engage students and provide prompt, objective, respectful, and effective feedback.
• Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with provided directions and administrative guidance.
• Collaborate with the College’s support services to identify and address students’ academic support needs.
• Utilize College technology for instruction and operational processes, including the learning management system, email, document management, student information system, and employee portals.
• Meet deadlines, maintain and submit accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.
• Ensure laboratories are stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.
• Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

• Current Cosmetology or Nail License (upload images of both licenses with application).
• Cosmetology or Nail Instructor License (preferred).
• Experience teaching Nail Technology.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 5:15 PM – 10:00 PM.

Pay

$31.79 per hour.
