Practice at Duke University School of Medicine, a world-class academic center
Join a nationally recognized Division under the leadership of Division Chief Dr. Thomas Ortel
Teach and mentor fellows, residents, APPs, and medical students
Deliver exceptional Non-Malignant Hematology care within Duke’s stellar sickle cell, hemostasis and thrombosis, leukocyte, and apheresis programs
Manage Benign Hematology patients while incorporating telehealth strategies to expand clinical outreach efforts across North Carolina and beyond
Participate in clinical and/or translational research aligned with your professional interests
Incorporate outpatient and/or inpatient clinical effort with dedicated time for teaching, research, and academic development
Collaborate with dedicated Benign Hematology APPs and full nursing, pharmacy, infusion, and care coordination support
Leverage Duke’s extensive clinical research and clinical trials infrastructure with support for funded investigations
Foster collaborations with other Divisions within the Department of Medicine and the School of Medicine

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Board-certified Hematologist

Qualifications

  • Outstanding clinical skills and experience in Non-Malignant Hematology
  • Strong teaching and mentoring abilities
  • Experience with telehealth strategies
  • Interest in clinical and translational research
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

$260,000.00 - $350,000.00

Schedule

Varies based on clinical needs and research commitments
