About the role

The School of Humanities, Arts and Cultural Studies seek part-time, non-tenure track faculty associates for a hiring pool. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based on qualifications and assigned teaching load.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in the field of discipline you are teaching or related field at time of hire.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with students from a wide variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including first-generation college students.
  • Record of scholarly publication or, if applicable, theatre, performance, and/or art show experience.
  • Expertise in developing and teaching courses online and in person.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence e.g., student evaluations, syllabi, peer observation, annual evaluations, teaching philosophy, etc.
  • Experience with online delivery platforms such as Canvas or equivalent.

The initial application deadline September 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool. Applications in the reserve pool may then be reviewed in the order in which they were received throughout the academic year as needed until the position is filled and/or the search is closed.
