Education

Bachelor's Degree in Anatomy & Physiology or closely related discipline.

Requirements

  • Preferred Master's Degree in Anatomy & Physiology or closely related discipline.
  • Preferred Coursework in or experience using computers in instruction.
  • Preferred Experience Teaching Anatomy & Physiology at the secondary or college level for at least two semesters, both lecture and laboratory.
  • Required Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures.
  • Required Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, and the public.
  • Required Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, and staff.
  • Required Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
  • Required Developed organizational skills.
  • Required Interdisciplinary approach to education.
  • Required Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues.
  • Required Instruct and evaluate students in biology courses which may include; Anatomy and Physiology (lecture or laboratory or both).
  • Required Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
  • Required Take attendance and maintain records of student attendance.
  • Required Participate in School assessment process.
  • Required Maintain office hours according to the standardized part-time teaching agreement.
  • Preferred Exposure to various chemicals and preservatives.

Qualifications

Preferred Coursework in or experience using computers in instruction.

Preferred Experience Teaching Anatomy & Physiology at the secondary or college level for at least two semesters, both lecture and laboratory.

The wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment for full-time teaching faculty, counselors and librarians (all regular College funded positions and certain grant/contract funded positions) are determined by the negotiated Agreement between Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Education Association.

If you are currently receiving an annuity from the State or Public School Employees’ Retirement System, employment at Pennsylvania College of Technology may affect your annuity status. If you are currently a member of either the State or Public School Employees’ Retirement System you may be required to contribute into the System.

Salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2023/24 academic year is $0 – $0.
