About the role
The Factory Supply Chain Planner is responsible for demand forecasting, procurement, inventory management, and supplier performance to ensure product availability and efficient material flow. This role partners cross-functionally to drive accuracy, service levels, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using data and planning systems; improve forecast accuracy
- Collaborate with sales to understand trends, risks, and future demand changes
- Place orders with suppliers and manage procurement for stocked and made-to-order products
- Resolve supplier and scheduling issues proactively to support customer needs
- Maintain inventory levels and address shortages or excess stock
- Coordinate material flow across engineering, sales, finance, and warehouse teams
- Create invoices for direct ship products and support operational processes
- Track and report supplier performance (on-time delivery, availability, service levels)
- Participate in process improvements and system implementations
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A High School Diploma/GED with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, or procurement
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills with the ability to use data for decision-making
- Knowledge of inventory management, material flow, and supplier coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Experience with continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred

- Experience with Microsoft BI or similar database

- Attention to detail and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a cross-functional environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact and communicate with internal departments and suppliers, outside warehouses
