Facility Support Specialist (Swing Shift)
About the role
We are seeking dedicated, detail-oriented individuals to join our organization as 2nd Shift Facility Support Specialists. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment that supports the comfort, health, and satisfaction of our employees, visitors, and customers.
Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, common spaces, breakrooms, restrooms, and other high-traffic zones.
Use cleaning supplies and equipment strictly in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly, ensuring proper chemical dwell times to maintain optimal hygiene across the facility and reduce cross-contamination.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and scrub floors as needed; promptly report any maintenance issues or damage related to flooring or surfaces.
Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables in designated containers.
Monitor waste receptacles, replace liners as needed, and ensure proper waste segregation.
Promptly escalate any concerns regarding contamination or hazardous materials.
Thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, walls, mirrors, counters, partitions, and fixtures.
Verify that all dispensers are fully functional and well-stocked.
Monitor and maintain par levels of cleaning supplies and essential materials.
Track inventory closely and submit restock requests promptly, noting any shortages or backorders.
Collaborate with other Facility team members to ensure seamless cleaning coverage.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments to address specific cleaning or maintenance needs.
Follow established cleaning protocols, scheduled routines, and company SOPs.
Comply with all safety procedures and consistently utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure: Valid Driver’s License (required for travel to other facilities).
Attributes: Strong work ethic, dependability, and acute attention to detail.
Communication: Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and strictly adhere to company SOPs.
Physical Requirements: Physical ability to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Prior experience in environmental services (EVS), custodial, or janitorial roles, ideally within a healthcare, clinic, or pharmacy setting.
Chemical Safety: Strong knowledge of the proper handling, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals, including strict adherence to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and PPE standards.
Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with basic infection control practices or sanitization standards relevant to medical or pharmaceutical environments.
Adaptability: Proven ability to manage time effectively and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
