Facility Support Attendant - 2nd Shift

About the Role

You will be the face of The Missouri Botanical Garden during your shift, interacting with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors. Under general supervision, you will maintain the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to welcome visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties
• Set up tables and chairs for events
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times
• Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers
• Report all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Be willing to learn new procedures
• Present a professional attitude at all times under the scrutiny of the general public
• Meet productivity standards
• Ability to read instructions and understand labels on cleaning products
• Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 30-60 pounds
• Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• All staff are strongly encouraged to receive all vaccinations as recommended by their healthcare provider before the hire date
• When international travel is necessary for Garden business, staff must be able to obtain required travel clearances, driving permits, and vaccinations

Pay

This position starts at $16.00 per hour.

Schedule

2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
