About the Role

The Solutions Manager role is focused on providing technical solutions leadership and management for the delivery and implementation of facility management processes and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with technical and management subject matter experts to prepare technical solutions, documentation, and management in accordance with company guidelines and philosophies.
  • Develop technical solutions relating to facility management and support the documentation of systems and solutions.
  • Act as team leader, coordinating, directing, and developing other members of the process staff.
  • Determine processes based on knowledge, experience, and correspondence with design/engineering firms.
  • Read and understand plans and specifications for major/complex projects.
  • Research and collect input from multiple internal and external resources.
  • Analyze multiple project types and past/future program performance, including assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Utilize software packages to improve production, quality, accuracy, and deliverables.
  • Review project plans and schedules for all projects within the region.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of facilities operations and building systems.
  • Work collaboratively in a mobile work environment.
  • Demonstrate software proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint).
  • Exercise strong project management skills.
  • Recognize, troubleshoot, document, and optimize facilities processes.
  • Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Read and interpret financial data relating to facilities.
  • Understand the critical facility environment, including hospitals, airports, and data centers.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience, preferably in Facilities Management, Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in professional services, construction, maintenance, and operations contracts.
  • Strong written communication skills and detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Cloud.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Master’s degree in a technical or facility management-related field (preferred).
  • Ability to function as part of a high-performance team.

Physical Requirements

  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery (calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, printer).
  • Frequently communicate with employees and external stakeholders on various topics.
  • Constantly compute, analyze, and conceptualize mathematical calculations and formulas.
  • Regularly sit in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.
  • Constantly read written communications, mail submissions, blueprints, and take/verify field measurements.
  • Climb: Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps at various heights.
  • Balance: Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching.
  • Stoop: Bend the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist.
  • Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.
  • Occasionally exposed to high and low temperatures.
  • Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
