Facility Services Technician

Nestled in the beautiful Driftless Region of southwest Wisconsin, St. Dominic Villa provides exceptional long-term skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation services for older adults. We are seeking a Facilities Services Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of our campus (inside and outside).
This hands-on position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, maintenance experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and able to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently and as part of a team. The position is 32 hours per week and includes participation in an on-call rotation to support facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work orders based on urgency and resident needs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours calls.
- Perform minor electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, fixtures, ballasts, bulbs, fuses, and related components.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks, faucets, toilets, drains, and related fixtures.
- Complete painting, carpentry, drywall, masonry, and general repair projects.
- Install, repair, and replace household appliances such as refrigerators, ranges, microwaves, washers, and dryers.
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, hardware, closures, and related building components.
- Replace ceiling tiles and perform other interior building repairs.
- Clear drain and toilet blockages using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Assist with furniture and equipment moves, setups, and re-configurations.
- Monitor trash and recycling areas and coordinate proper waste management.
- Assist with routine testing and maintenance of fire, life safety, and emergency systems.
- Respond to facility emergencies including power outages, water leaks, gas-related concerns, and elevator emergencies.
- Assist with maintaining campus grounds and outdoor spaces, including mowing, trimming, landscaping, turf care, and seasonal property upkeep.
- Assist with planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape features to ensure a safe and attractive environment.
- Support exterior property maintenance by monitoring grounds, sidewalks, parking areas, lighting, water features, and stormwater systems, and addressing cleanliness and safety concerns.
- Assist with snow removal during scheduled shifts and when needed during emergencies.
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with residents, visitors, vendors, and team members.
- Promote the organization's mission, vision, and values through excellent customer service.
Requirements
The successful candidate will bring a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance, facilities, property management, or related experience, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Pay
$23 - $26 per hour, based on experience
