The Role
Nova Solvers is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead the administration and execution of the company's security program in support of classified government and national security programs. This role will be responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable security regulations, managing personnel and facility security activities, and serving as the primary liaison between the company and government security representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the company's facility security program in accordance with NISPOM and customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary interface with government security agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage personnel security processes including clearance submissions, visit requests, indoctrinations, and debriefings.
- Maintain security records, documentation, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct security awareness and annual refresher training for employees.
- Manage physical security measures, access controls, visitor procedures, and secure workspaces.
- Support classified contracts, proposals, and program activities.
- Cook up government inspections, self-assessments, audits, and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling, safeguarding, transmission, storage, and destruction of classified information.
- Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions when required.
- Advise company leadership on security requirements, risks, and compliance matters.
- Cook with compliance with CUI, export control, and related government requirements.
- Cook with coordination with program managers, engineers, and leadership to support mission execution.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience supporting security programs within aerospace, defense, intelligence, or government environments.
- Experience supporting cleared facilities and classified programs.
- Thorough understanding of NISPOM requirements and facility security operations.
- Experience managing personnel, physical, and information security programs.
- Experience processing and maintaining security clearances.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and maintain strict confidentiality.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification.
- Experience supporting organizations with Facility Clearances (FCLs).
- Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, intelligence community, or national security programs.

Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite and involves supporting classified programs, secure facilities, personnel security activities, and government compliance requirements. Candidates should be comfortable working within controlled-access environments and interacting with government security representatives.

Security & Export Control
