About the role
The Facility Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of facility projects within the organization. This includes managing project timelines, coordinating resources, ensuring compliance with regulations, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of facility projects from inception to completion.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to deadlines and financial constraints.
- Coordinate project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other relevant professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to facility projects.
- Communicate project progress and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and team members.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, specifications, and change orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a construction or facilities management environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera or MS Project.
- Understanding of sustainable design principles and green building practices.
- Experience with contract negotiation and procurement processes.
