Job Description

The Facility Project Manager manages all facilities maintenance and operations at CMI’s client site in VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day‑to‑day operation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure a sufficient number of qualified employees are on staff to meet all preventative maintenance, service order, and corrective maintenance requirements.
• Ensure all reporting is complete and submitted at required intervals or deadlines.
• Ensure employees are properly trained in systems to enable seamless, efficient use.
• Oversee recurring repairs and involvement with planned and funded capital improvement projects for the facility.
• Provide management and supervision for efficient, effective, economical, and satisfactory operation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems within the property line, including:
  • Electrical systems and equipment
  • Mechanical, plumbing, energy management control systems (EMCS) where applicable, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment
  • Fire suppression systems, life safety systems and equipment
• Manage service request desk operations, including record keeping using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other administrative functions.
• Manage janitorial personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• At least five (5) years of recent (within the past ten years) responsible experience in management and supervision of complex commercial and institutional facilities, including facility operations, maintenance, and janitorial services.
• Experience managing facilities and maintenance operations of a facility of at least 500,000 sq ft with similar complexity and scope.
• Demonstrated skills and knowledge in establishing and managing an organization that operates and repairs complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
