Minimum Skills and Abilities Required
- Communicate in English, verbally and written.
- Use measuring devices by weight.
- Work in a wet environment, accessing the pool to perform cleaning tasks.
- Perform physical activities requiring moving one's whole body, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- Lift 50 lbs. minimum and stand up to 8 hours per shift.
- Walk up or down 15 flights of stairs in case of an unavailable elevator.
- High School Diploma or GED is required, with vocational school training or related on-the-job experience satisfactory.
- Basic knowledge of pools is a plus, but not required.
- A medical screening is required annually.
- Handles various pool chemicals under the direct supervision of the Facility Manager.
- Requires a respirator while handling pool chemicals.
- Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing defective parts.
- Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Cleans and lubricates machinery parts.
- Serves as a representative of Gulf Corp Services, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions.
- Enters work orders, determines assignments, and completes work orders using provided software.
- Replaces worn and defective parts, such as switches, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, circuit boards, or defective wiring.
- Cleans and treats pools and hot tubs as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Attends departmental meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
