Facility Operations Supervisor

About the role

Old Economy Village, part of the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission, is seeking a Facility Operations Supervisor to maintain this unique historic site in Ambridge. This is not a desk-bound supervisor position—you will stay hands-on while helping care for historic buildings, grounds, equipment, and physical systems. Your experience and judgment will be valued as you work closely with management to plan maintenance projects, solve problems, and provide advice and recommendations on the site's maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee maintenance work
• Plan and coordinate projects
• Supervise maintenance staff
• Work with outside contractors
• Help keep the site safe, functional, and ready for visitors
• Perform carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and prepare the site for special events as needed

Requirements

• Two years of skilled trades work experience in commercial, industrial, multi-unit residential facilities, or utility plant operations; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training
• Two or more years of experience in each of these areas: carpentry and construction, electrical maintenance, and plumbing maintenance
• An active motor vehicle license

Qualifications

• Experience with lawn care, landscaping, snow removal equipment, HVAC, and fire/security systems is preferred but not required

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position working 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work for special events and operational needs.
