About the Role

The Lead Facility Operations oversees the Operations department, ensuring Life Time’s cleanliness standards are met. This role provides leadership for the operations team in fulfilling Life Time’s mission, including training, scheduling, budget management, and staffing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure locker rooms, fitness floors, and common areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times (45% of role)
  • Coach, manage, and schedule up to 30 team members (20% of role)
  • Train staff through orientation, direction, and feedback (20% of role)
  • Recruit for the Operations department and provide hiring, promotion, and disciplinary recommendations to the General Manager (5% of role)
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual department budgets, including submitting financial reports to the General Manager (5% of role)
  • Complete operations payroll and ensure labor costs remain within budgetary guidelines (5% of role)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Building operations experience
  • CPR/AED certification (required within the first 30 days of hire)
  • Certified Pool Operations (CPO) license (required within 6 months of hire)
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree in business, hospitality, or related field
  • Health and fitness operations experience
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
  • Background in the military (beneficial)

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $30.75 and up to $41.25, based on experience and qualifications. Eligible for incentive pay based on business performance.
