Facility Operations Assistant
About the role
The Facility Operations Assistant will support the day-to-day functions of plant operations by coordinating production activities and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards. This role will assist in maintaining facility and equipment oversight and serving as a liaison between departments to resolve operational challenges efficiently.
Essential Job Duties
Operational Support: Monitor progress toward KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements.
Safety & Compliance: Conduct facility safety inspections and help enforce safety protocols. Support audits, training programs, and ensure adherence to OSHA and company EHS guidelines.
Facility & Equipment Oversight: Monitor equipment performance and escalate maintenance issues. Ensure proper upkeep of workstations, tools, and infrastructure. Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR teams to resolve operational challenges. Facilitate communication between the FGM and other department leaders.
Administrative & Reporting Duties: Assist with budget tracking, inventory audits, and procurement planning.
Special Projects & Continuous Improvement: Support lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and project rollouts. Participate in strategic planning and long-term infrastructure improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility operations, manufacturing support, or a related field.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, EHS protocols).
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of equipment monitoring and facility maintenance procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
