Facility Operations Assistant 1, Western New York Children Psychiatric Center, P27733

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all patient living areas, wards, and common areas such as the day room to ensure Joint Commission standards are maintained.
• Move heavy furniture.
• Remove trash, pick up infectious waste, and clean bodily fluids.
• Handle soiled linen and clean linen laundry.
• Operate self-propelled and motorized equipment, including burnishers, walk-behind floor scrubbers, lawn mowers, pumps, compressors, vehicles, small trucks, and light construction equipment.
• Clean debris, garbage, and hazards across the entire outside campus.
• Assist in snow removal in coordination with the Work Control Department, covering all ground walkways and sidewalks.
• Assist with setting up for grounds special events, including outdoor tents, job fair signage, tables, and blood drives.

Requirements

• Physically able to perform the duties of the position.
• Able to communicate effectively to obtain and convey information.
• When required to operate a motor vehicle, must possess a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
