Cut grass, trim shrubbery, lawn trimming, spray weeds, leaf removal, storm damage and debris cleanup. Clean and maintain roads and playground equipment. Perform janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas. Change light bulbs and other minor electrical work when required Make electrical repairs and minor repairs to heating and ventilating equipment. Assist with changing HVAC filter Paint surfaces and operates machinery and equipment. Keep records and assist skilled trades person. Make carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment Perform other duties as assigned. ***The hours of this position are Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.*** Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities American Sign Language (ASL) skills Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: NONE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age. Working Conditions Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures. Must follow safety procedures, such as utilization of eye and ear protection, when utilizing certain mechanical equipment. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
