Facility Maintenance

About the role

This role is part of the Operations/Facilities team and focuses on maintaining the distribution center facility, grounds, and warehouse equipment in a clean and presentable state.

Responsibilities

• Keep all areas of the warehouse floor swept and scrubbed.
• Keep all warehouse walls, curbs, rails, and overhead doors washed and cleaned as needed.
• Maintain the sweeper and scrubber by keeping them clean and ensuring proper oil and water levels.
• Spray down and clean around the trash compactor on a daily basis.
• Keep all parking areas clean and steam clean areas as needed.
• Assist with painting and other miscellaneous maintenance tasks as needed or required.
• Perform general yard and grounds maintenance.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic math comprehension.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent certification.
• Effective communication skills.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to pull/push a load up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, stand, walk, and turn/pivot frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to operate facility equipment required for the role.
• Ability to speak, hear, and see to communicate with employees and operate varied facility equipment and cleaning products.
• Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
• Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
