About the role
Since 1995, Weatherby Healthcare has been an expert in locum tenens staffing for physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, employing nearly 600 staff to fill assignments nationwide. This adult cardiology locum tenens position serves a 65% Medicare patient population, with 1–4 cath lab procedures and 16 office patients (new/follow‑up) per day. Duties include TEEs, cardiac caths, PTCA, cardioversion, stress testing, and echo reading. Hospital privileges are required, and assignment details/time entry are managed via an online portal.
Responsibilities
- 1–4 cath lab procedures per day
- 16 office patients per day (new and follow‑up)
- Adult cardiology patient care (65% Medicare)
- TEEs, cardiac caths, PTCA, cardioversion, stress testing, echo reading

Pay
From $325.00 to $400.00 hourly (all‑inclusive, combines base pay with potential overtime, call, and holiday pay; actual rate depends on critical need, experience, qualifications, and other factors).
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm; nighttime call and weekends to be determined (TBD).
