Facility Housekeeper
About the role
Facility Housekeepers set the stage for U‑Haul’s exceptional service by keeping the U‑Haul facility clean and inviting. This is a part‑time position (10‑15 hours per week). Reliable transportation and the ability to work independently and be on time are required. The facility is open every day except Christmas, so work may be required on any day of the week.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
- Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Maintain and track cleaning‑supply inventory; request supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Self‑starter attitude.
Work Environment
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Use of protective clothing or gear (masks, goggles, gloves, shields) may be required.
Physical Demands
The role requires physical exertion, including long periods of remaining stationary, moving around outdoors, reaching objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lb (assisted or unassisted).

Schedule
Part‑time, 10‑15 hours per week. Work may be required any day of the week, reflecting the facility’s 7‑day‑a‑week operation.
