Facility Cleaner - AM

About the role

Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort, a campground located a few miles from Hersheypark amusement park. This part-time position focuses on cleaning all areas of the resort, primarily cabins, bathhouses, and interior public spaces. Responsibilities

• Detailed cleaning of cabins, bathhouses, and public spaces*
• Washing dishes and doing laundry*
• Operating cleaning equipment*
• Picking up trash around cabins and sites*
• Cleaning fire pits*
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Skills

• General knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Positive, professional employee and guest relations
• Capable of working alone and as a team; must be a self-starter
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to clean 6 to 8 cabins within a specified time period
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies

Physical Demands

• Complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision
• Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather
• Proper footwear must be provided by employee; uniform shirts will be supplied
• Must be able to push/pull/lift a maximum of 60 lbs
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, and climb ladders for 90% of the shift
• Ability to safely use chemicals in and around the workplace meeting OSHA standards
