About the Role

This position is temporary with the possibility of permanent based on performance and business needs. Full-time hours are from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with 20-30 hours per week.

Hourly rate: $18/hour

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard of hygiene in the cafeteria area, including tables, chairs, countertops, and kitchen equipment. Adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Regularly empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins. Ensure proper disposal and adherence to waste management protocols.
  • Monitor and report any malfunctioning kitchen equipment, appliances, or fixtures.
  • Keep track of cafeteria supplies such as napkins, utensils, and cleaning materials. Restock as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Required to interact with coworkers and all other departments in a professional manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a cafeteria or food service setting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs when needed.

Qualifications

At least two years’ related experience required.
