Facility Based LPN - Part-time

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize skills and expertise to assess and monitor consumers with intellectual/developmental disability and co-occurring complex behavioral and/or mental health needs.
• Respond to crises in a therapeutic setting as needed.
• Comply with Controlled Substances policy and procedures, maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs.
• Monitor consumers and take appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
• Complete Quality Assurance (QA) activities as requested and participate in the QA process.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide training for both internal and external stakeholders (including nutrition and medication education).
• On-call availability required.

Requirements

• Active and current LPN licensure in state of employment.
• Two years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferred.
• Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency, and principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to evidence-based treatment and preventative methods.
• Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required.
