Key Responsibilities
- Operational & Business Leadership
- Provide full operational oversight of the ASC, including clinical, financial, and administrative functions
- Lead start-up execution: licensure, accreditation, vendor selection, equipment procurement, and go-live readiness
- Develop and manage the center’s operating budget, P&L performance, and cost controls
- Implement processes to optimize surgical case volume, block utilization, and operational efficiency
- Clinical & Patient Care Oversight
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with orthopedic best practices
- Partner with clinical leadership to establish workflows across pre-op, OR, and PACU
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (CMS, state of Texas, and AAAHC)
- Physician Partnership & Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons and stakeholders
- Drive physician satisfaction, engagement, and case growth
- Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing, patient-centered team
- Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
- Oversee staffing models, productivity expectations, and performance management
- Compliance & Quality
- Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and risk management
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators
- Oversee infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical outcomes programs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (in good standing)
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN or healthcare-related) or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in an ASC or surgical services environment
- Demonstrated experience in orthopedic procedures and workflows
- Prioritized experience in managing operations, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of ASC regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements
