The Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD) at WashU Medicine provides essential services that sustain the medical campus’ mission of excellence in patient care, research, and education. Our team delivers operational and administrative support, strategic planning, and project management to ensure efficient, safe, and innovative facility operations. Job Description

  • Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Programming, troubleshooting, and recommissioning of building automation/DDC systems.
    • Aid in covering the Building Automation Control room as needed.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, and repair of the Building Automation System and DDC equipment.
    • Perform software and hardware upgrades to Building Automation System network controllers.
    • Repair/replacement of DDC field equipment controllers.
    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on DDC systems in Vivariums, Data Centers, Wet Labs, offices, and their supporting HVAC equipment.

Education

  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.

Relevant Skill Trade Functions

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and being knowledgeable of the process of testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of DDC devices related to Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, and Phoenix Controls Building Automation Systems.

Grade G10-H

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
