About the Role
Maintains, builds, and repairs a variety of wooden structures and furniture. Coordinates activities of other trade shops, building engineers, and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Four years of skilled carpenter experience.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English and demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Requirements Prior to Start Date
- FBI fingerprint background check.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and lift test.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s license with MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field.
- General mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Pay
Higher pay rates funded through a community-approved override, guaranteed through June 2031. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on the salary schedule, reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.
Schedule
- Full-time: 1.0 FTE – 8 hours per day.
- 12-month work calendar.
Benefits
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Effective: 2026-2027 school year. Location: Facilities - Broadway & Kino Parkway Area.
