Facilities Technician

Job Description

The Facilities Technician assists the Operations Manager or Manager on Duty with safety plans, operating standards, and guidelines. Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various building systems, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with event setups and snow removal.

• Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and maintain cleanliness of property
• Perform maintenance and repair activities on the interior and exterior of the property, including painting, drywall, plumbing, clearing drains, lighting, flooring, and roofing
• Absorb and modify retail merchandising units as needed
• Assist with inventory systems, records, and supplies
• Engage in training and continuing education to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations
• Support emergency planning and response
• Interact with the public and tenants as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to communicate clearly with management, employees, tenants, and external contacts
• Read and interpret documents, plans, and schematic drawings
• OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook
• Bilingual welcome
