Job Summary
Catholic Charities of St. Louis, Queen of Peace Center is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician. The tech is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities that support safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Perform routine carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment and report deficiencies.
- Auxiliary with preventive maintenance activities for building systems and equipment.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Assist with furniture moves, room setups, and facility support activities.
- Support life safety, emergency preparedness, and compliance activities as assigned.
- Participate in on-call rotations as assigned.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and work-order documentation.
- Auxiliary with vendor and contractor support while they are performing work on-site.
- Report maintenance and safety concerns to the Facilities Lead or Facilities Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, trade certification, or related vocational training preferred.
- One to three years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license required. (MO Residents require Class E).
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
