Facilities Supervisor - FT
About the Role
Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the HVAC mechanics and Kitchen Mechanics on the assigned shift, relative to corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance projects. This role supports the adjustment, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC equipment and Kitchen Equipment systems to ensure safe, reliable facility operations with minimal interruption to Guests, Team Members, and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
- Supervise, assign jobs, and ensure timely completion of projects by maintenance mechanics and trades people.
- Perform and oversee preventive maintenance on facilities equipment and HVAC and Kitchen Equipment systems, maintaining applicable logbooks and technical records.
- Conduct routine field inspections on-site and at off-site locations, including walkthrough inspections of HVAC and Kitchen Equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Adjust, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and Kitchen Equipment systems and related equipment.
- Maintain quality of air, air flow, and temperature at on-site and off-site facilities; adjust valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through systems as needed.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain logbooks as required; record gauge readings, repairs completed, and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as relevant state, local, and national codes.
- React in a timely manner to emergency situations and coordinate appropriate maintenance response.
- Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate departments to ensure minimal Guest and business interruption.
- Oversee the supervision of maintenance and repair of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek facilities and equipment.
- Instruct and train others as appropriate, including HVAC and Kitchen Mechanics.
- Apply knowledge of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek policies, procedures, and schedules to prioritize projects appropriately and minimize interruption to business operations.
- Promote positive employer/public and employee relations at all times; interact with internal departments as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Perform all other related, compatible, and non-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One (3) to three (5) years experience in Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Service and Repairs.
- Three (3) to five (5) years experience with commercial/industrial HVAC equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- High school diploma required; trade school certificate or technical certificate preferred.
- Must maintain current EPA Universal Technician Certification as required by 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart F and possess basic mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to read, understand, and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams, and drawings.
- Must possess excellent hand/eye coordination as well as close vision.
- Respond to service calls in an efficient manner; must be well-organized with the ability to prioritize in response to changing circumstances and function in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting, and bending may be required.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Prolonged periods of walking, reaching, climbing, and moving/carrying weight of up to 100 lbs. may be required.
- Must be able to work in high/precarious places, be near fiberglass insulation and electrical current.
