Facilities Staff - Custodian

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning the facilities, including trash removal, floor cleaning, general cleaning, and sanitizing
• Sets up school and miscellaneous events; and other related duties
• Ability to address light maintenance issues as needed
• Respond to building related issues during off hours as needed
• Manage student drop off and pick up as directed

Skills

• Ability to work both independently and with colleagues on assignments
• Detail oriented and proactive in problem solving with an eye for making improvements throughout the school campus
• Ability to work well with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions, as well as the student body
• Must possess the physical ability to move and carry heavy loads; ability to climb stairs and ladders

Qualifications

• Prior work experience is preferred
• Flexible schedule with an ability to work evenings and weekends if needed
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community
• Able to pass a State employee background check (CORI/SAFIS)
• This is a 40 hour per week position, Monday - Friday. Overtime may be available
• Pay commensurate with experience

Innovation Academy is a project-based charter school in Tyngsborough serving students in grades 5-12.
